The clients approached us with a vision for a new waterfront residence on a lot with challenging site constraints with potential to fully embrace its coastal setting and a focus on capturing panoramic water views, dramatic sunsets, and seamless connections between interior living and the bay and ocean views beyond.

Each floor is oriented to maximize southern exposure and sightlines across the bay, with expansive glass doors, private balconies, and a covered porch that anchors the rear façade. A vanishing edge pool and spa dissolve the boundary between the yard and the sea. At the top of the house, a generous observation deck with a built-in bar offers unobstructed sunset views.

Inside, the sequence of spaces unfolds naturally from entry to water's edge — a welcoming front porch, an open kitchen and living area flooded with light, a guest wing with ensuite bedrooms, and a primary suite with its own fireplace and covered porch for quiet retreat. A rusticated stone base grounds the home in its site, bridging the changes in grade and anchoring the design to the landscape with a sense of permanence.
